Willie James

Founder / CEO

Willie James is the Founder and CEO of the Green Kids Science Club and has been working most of his adult life as an advocate for urban at-risk youth. Most recently, Willie has been developing Green Tech business models with the goal of increasing S.T.E.M. participation by Black, Latino, White & Asian youth.

After serving in the US Military where he trained and worked as a heavy equipment and diesel technician before being honorably discharged. Willie returned home to the United States and enrolled in Fairmont State University, earning a dual Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Recreation Science Administration, and an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
Willie served as director of the New Los Angeles Automotive Training Corporation, a Toyota sponsored automotive technology training center from 1993 to 2007. While having the responsibility of all training, community outreach, and business affairs he created over 250 employer partners and placed over 2,100 graduates in high-paying automotive-related jobs.
For his outstanding performance with the training center, he was recognized and featured in Forbes and People magazines, several local radio and TV programs, CBS Special Workplace America, and over 10 national training publications focusing on education and training.
In 2007 Willie formed Green Tech Ventures California Inc. focusing on energy management, job creation, and training in the green job sector. GTVCA has conducted energy efficiency workshops and symposiums in low income and disadvantaged neighborhoods in Ohio, West Virginia, Texas, Nevada, California, and North Carolina.
Willies' recent venture Global Green Unlimited Inc. and Green Kids Science Club Inc. has been established in the state of West Virginia and North Carolina is now in full operation. The two companies address three critical concerns in the state which are education, energy, and the environment.
In his professional career, Willie's talents have carried him into various fields and personal development training. He has worked with The City of Canton, Ohio, Stark Technical College, Stark County Board of Education, Canton Ohio YMCA, Trans Western Institute of Technology, and Bi Plex Corporation.
Willie has taught clean energy and various green technology courses at Santa Monica College, Los Angeles Harbor College, and Riverside Black Chamber of Commerce.
Willie hopes to help further stimulate the "Green Economy" with innovative technology and education that will create green careers, green jobs, and green entrepreneurs.
The goals and mission for Willie is to foster the wellbeing of disadvantaged communities by helping to increase neighbor vitality, introduce green technology, educate and create green entrepreneurs, strengthen small business, create jobs and training programs and encourage diversity in the green economy.

STEM Technology
 
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Education. Our STEM courses will help in the all-around education of our students through interdisciplinary and hands-on learning. We focus on these areas because skills and knowledge in each discipline are essential for a student to be successful in a science-based career. These fields of study are deeply intertwined in the real world.
